Objectives
Career Awareness: By organizing a Career Exploration Day within the next four months, Together Friends Organization’s objective is to provide college, high school and middle school students with a comprehensive understanding of diverse career paths. We aim to engage 90% of attendees in at least five interactive activities, facilitating direct interactions with industry professionals. This event will be meticulously crafted to align with students' majors and interests, offering relevant insights and resources to broaden their career awareness.
Networking: The Career Exploration Day event will focus on networking. Our intention is to collaborate with relevant campus organizations and leverage social media platforms to promote the event and reach the target attendance goal. We have aligned the event content with current industry trends and will include diverse perspectives from successful professionals in the networking field.
Informed Decision-Making: We will enhance the career exploration event by organizing comprehensive interactive activities for the students and young adults, providing detailed information on diverse career paths and educational opportunities. The success of the event will be measured by feedback surveys, vendor participant scorecards, as well as a post-event survey showing a 90% satisfaction rate among participants. Together Friends Organization (TFO) will collaborate with local school districts, career experts and corporate community representatives to ensure a rich and varied program that caters to the diverse interests and aspirations of both students and adults. The career exploration day aligns with TFO’s mission to empower students by providing valuable resources for informed decision-making about their future educational and career paths. The event will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 allowing sufficient time for meticulous planning, promotion, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure its success.
Industry Insight: Together Friends career exploration day event is specifically targeted to foster connections and insights within the various industries in the Greater Metro Atlanta area. Our goal is to attract a minimum of 15 industry leading organizations to ensure a diverse representation from various sectors within the various markets. TFO's overall intention and key deliverable is to provide networking opportunities for our participants with valuable insights.
Conclusion
Through the Career Exploration Day, our overarching aim is to empower students to make well-informed decisions about their college and career paths. By instilling a sense of purpose and excitement for the future, we hope to set them on a trajectory toward success and fulfillment in their chosen endeavors.
